"holding on to absence"

short story by Omay Goksu

Date 2009 - 2014

cameras : contax t / contax t2 / Nikon 28ti  / lecia CM

"holding to the absence"  tries to draw the visual heartache of coming to terms and realisation that everything you knew, held close to you and loved within a 12 year period comes tumbling down beneath your feet. Creating a huge sense of lose while pushing fragments of your identity to disappear within yourself.

The only chose is having to accept the situation while finding methods to help filter your heart break leaving you to create a mask in the process allowing you the tools to hide the emptiness while restarting and rethinking about who am I now.

This becomes more obvious as you also find yourself an nomad with no real home or love ones around. Making you question every action that had taken place during that time when once you were apart of something.
